Product Overview
The Steel Backed Bronze Gear Pump Thrust Plate is developed for the high-frequency end-face sliding conditions found in gear pumps. It supports original equipment assembly and direct replacement during pump maintenance.
Material Structure
The component combines a rigid steel backing with a CuSn6Zn6Pb3 tin-zinc-lead bronze friction layer.
Metallurgical Bonding
The two materials are joined through metallurgical sintering. This process forms a stable structure and helps prevent separation between the steel backing and bronze layer.
Alternating Load Resistance
Gear pumps operate with continuously changing pressure between the high- and low-pressure chambers. The side plate is designed to withstand these alternating loads and provide stable fatigue resistance.
Friction and Wear Performance
The bronze friction surface reduces friction and wear under oil lubrication. It also provides scoring resistance under boundary lubrication conditions.
Dimensional Accuracy
Parallelism is controlled within 0.003 mm, while gear-face contact reaches at least 98%.
Accurate thickness control allows the part to replace an original component without secondary fitting. This can shorten the pump repair process.
Application Areas
The Steel Backed Bronze Gear Pump Thrust Plate is suitable for external gear pumps and tandem gear pumps.
It can be used in travel and working hydraulic systems for construction machinery, agricultural machinery, and sanitation vehicles.
Customization Support
Production is available from customer drawings or physical samples. The minimum order quantity is 100 pieces.
Dimensions and machining details are produced according to the supplied reference.
Sample and Delivery Time
Custom samples normally require 30 days. Urgent sample orders may be completed about five days earlier.
Standard delivery is 25–30 days. The product includes a six-month warranty.

Inspection Equipment
Inspection equipment includes Rockwell and Vickers hardness testers, a bronze-layer thickness gauge, a roughness tester, and a coordinate measuring machine.
Hardness, layer thickness, and dimensional accuracy are checked before shipment.
Final Inspection
Export products receive a 100% inspection before packing. Third-party inspection is also accepted.
